The main drawback to Yhorm’s is its high strength requirement of 40. But if you have the stats then it will serve you incredibly well.

#4 Dragonslayer Greatshield

This greatshield is blessed with the highest lightning absorption in the game at 95%. It also has great magic and fire resistance alongside 74 stability and 80% physical absorption.

Weighing 4 units less than Yhorm‘s, the Dragonslayer Greatshield has more versatility and agility. It even has comparable stability to Havel’s when fully reinforced. The tradeoff is slightly lower elemental defenses overall.

I recommend the Dragonslayer for lightning-heavy fights like the Nameless King. And its impressive magic resistance helps greatly against spell casters.
