The Complete Guide to Bugaboo Strollers
As a parent of three kids under four years old, I know a thing or two about what makes a great stroller. My adventures getting the little ones around our Brooklyn neighborhood quickly taught me not every model works for life‘s everyday obstacles.
Between the cracked sidewalks, steep subway stairs and snowy paths in the park, the number of times I got stuck with a cheap stroller made me swear I‘d invest in quality. And I‘m glad I did.
When a friend suggested Bugaboo after the birth of my twins, I looked into the brand and realized their reputation for unparalleled design, safety and maneuverability was beyond warranted. Now, I can‘t picture life without our Bugaboo Donkey 3 Duo making adventures possible for all five of us.
If you‘re wondering whether Bugaboo‘s beloved but pricey strollers deserve a spot on your baby registry, take it from this mom – they‘re worth every penny. Let me walk you through why I‘ll never buy another brand again…
What Makes Bugaboo Stand Out
Founded by two dads intent on engineering better stroller solutions, this Dutch brand has been revolutionizing baby mobility since the 90s. Their focus on real-world parent frustrations gives their collection key advantages:
Superior Maneuverability: Bugaboo‘s swivel wheels and suspension systems enable tight turns and bump absorption other strollers only dream of.
Durable & Long-Lasting Materials: From aircraft-grade aluminum frames to durable canvas fabrics, they‘re made to serve kids from newborn through toddlerhood.
Adaptability & Modularity: Bassinet, car seat, ride-on board and more accessories let you adapt as needed. Models like the Donkey convert from single to double.
All-Terrain Handling: Whether you‘re strolling the Brooklyn Bridge path or the grass in Central Park, Bugaboo‘s foam-filled tires and advanced engineering allow a smooth ride anywhere.
These perks come at a cost – Bugaboos range from $700 up to $1,800. But here‘s why I firmly believe the investment pays dividends when it comes to both convenience and keeping kids comfy…

Key Stand-Out Features
Through my first-hand use pushing two babies plus a toddler around, I‘ve come to deeply appreciate how thoughtful Bugaboo‘s designs are. Here are some of my favorite features that make the donkey the perfect fit for parents like us.
Reversible Seats – When my twins get fussy facing the same way, I can quickly flip one around for a change of scenery.
Huge Storage Basket – Between spare diapers, toys and our everyday baby gear, I need lots of undercarriage space on-the-go. Bugaboo delivers.
Height Adjustability – Being able to tailor the handlebar height takes pressure off my back, especially when both babies are sleeping soundly.
Hands-Free Folding – Whether collapsing the stroller to toss in our SUV or for storage, the quick two-step process makes life easier.
All-Wheel Suspension – After testing lots of modes, none absorb shock like Bugaboo‘s foam-filled rubber wheels. My daughters can sleep through bumpy areas.
