Step 1: Triggering the Alien Spacecraft Crash
The first step is encountering the dramatic spaceship crash itself. This occurs randomly as you explore the Commonwealth, typically between levels 15-25.
With zero warning besides a loud sonic boom, you‘ll witness a meteor-like alien craft streaking across the sky, followed by a resounding crash off in the distance.
Now it‘s a race against time to track that sucker down before the wreckage and its special cargo disappears!
Step 2: Tracking the Crash Site Location
You essentially have two options to find where that pesky alien pilot crash landed:
Follow the Smoke Trail
If you look closely at the sky after the crash, you should see a faint smoke plume trailing in the direction of the impact site. Use it as a guide!
Head Southeast of Oberland Station
Whether you spot smoke or not, the alien spacecraft will always crash southeast of Oberland Station. Fast travel there then traverse the rocky ridges until you discover the site.
Step 3: Following the Ominous Green Blood Trail
Approaching the downed alien craft, you‘ll notice the occupant did NOT survive, apparently bleeding out neon green blood all over the place! Strange indeed!
But good news for us! Follow that eerie green trail to locate the deceased alien‘s body and claim some epic extraterrestrial loot!
Step 4: Alien Showdown – Engage and Defeat!
The glowing blood path terminates inside a darkened cave. Draw your most powerful weapon and get ready for a fight! This alien survivor is very much alive and extremely hostile!
Utilize cover and keep your distance as its dangerous disintegrator ray can kill quickly even at high levels. Employ explosives if possible or cripple a wing to slow it down. With some skill, The alien will fall, unlocking the ultimate prize…
Now with the vanquished ET‘s remains at your feet, collect the unique Alien Blaster pistol + ammo and prepare to annihilate enemies across the Commonwealth!!

If you enjoy alien tech and have Fallout 4‘s Nuka World DLC installed, an upgraded variant called Hub‘s Alien Blaster can be obtained through a special side quest.
Its base damage is unchanged but has a chance to REALLY lay down pain with these added legendary effects:
+100% Critical damage
+15% Critical fill rate Legendary modifiers scale exceptionally well when upgrading weapon damage via Gun Nut perks.

1) Visit the Hubologist Camp in Nuka World
