To get a better sense of what kids may encounter watching Aphmau, I took a deeper look at some of her videos. Here were a few concerning things I noticed:

• Frequent fighting and battle violence using weapons like swords against zombie-like mobs. While not gory, could still be scary for little ones.
• Characters experience emotional trauma relating to death, divorce, breakups, etc. These mature themes are hard to process for 7 year olds.
• Some female characters wear revealing clothing that could promote early body image issues. Impressionable at this age.
• Occasional profanity like "damn" and "hell" used by characters. Not excessive but present.
• Flirting and physically intimate scenes between teen characters may introduce topics like sex too soon.

Again, frequency of above content varies. But as a whole, the complex and mature storylines place the channel firmly in the tween and up category for me personally.

Stampy (aka Joseph Garrett) is one of the most enduring kid-friendly Minecraft YouTubers. He avoids fighting and plays on the peaceful Creative mode to build fun structures like pizza shops and cake factories. The commentary is lighthearted and engaging for young viewers.

2. DanTDM

Daniel Middleton (aka DanTDM) narrates his Minecraft adventures with silly voices and humor kids adore. He often plays on the Peaceful setting to avoid violence. Dan maintains a very clean, kid-safe environment.

3. Unspeakable

While not exclusively kid-oriented, Unspeakable (aka Nathan) tends to avoid excessive mature language and sexual references. He plays a lot of Minecraft mini-games and real-life challenges that appeal to younger ones.

4. PrestonPlayz
