• Defense finally feels balanced. Steals and blocks are toned down to realistic levels, while bumping and jostling during drives lets defenders impede progress without fouling on every play. Contested shots are more likely to miss or brick hard.

MyNBA Eras

MyNBA receives an awesome overhaul with support for multiple different NBA eras. Now you can run a franchise that starts with historical rosters and rules from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, or 2010s. Era-appropriate presentation, camera angles, trophies and more immerse you in those time periods.

It‘s incredible starting a franchise in the 80s complete with short shorts, big hair, and vintage graphics – really makes older NBA fans like myself feel at home. MyNBA Eras provides near endless replay value and is a brilliant way to celebrate the NBA‘s rich history within 2K.

MyCareer

MyCareer sees an expanded storyline for your custom MyPlayer involving cameos from real-world stars like J. Cole. You guide your player from college standout to NBA draft pick on a journey to become a star.

While not a dramatic overhaul, the story content is meatier this year with enhanced cutscenes and character interactions. Having real celebrities involved is pretty cool too! Veteran 2K fans may find it familiar, but new players will get a kick out of the cinematic narrative guiding their career.

MyTeam

MyTeam receives tweaks like Unlimited and Clutch Time leaderboards to better match you against comparable competition online. Theme seasons also help keep the card-collecting mode feeling fresh. While not transformative changes, MyTeam remains as dangerously addicting as ever for hardcore hoops heads and card collectors.

Visual Presentation Still Stunning

While gameplay improvements make the biggest impact, credit to Visual Concepts for still upping the visual polish and realism of NBA 2K year after year. NBA 2K23 boasts excellent graphical enhancements including:

Stepping on the virtual court never gets old when the gameplay feels this smooth. 2K still sets the bar incredibly high for sports experiences, and I can‘t wait to dive in deeper across all 2K23 has to offer!
