If you‘re looking to embark on an epic Viking adventure in Assassin‘s Creed Valhalla, choosing the right edition can be tricky with the Standard, Gold, and Complete versions available. In my expert opinion as an avid gamer and industry analyst, the **Complete Edition is the best version of Valhalla for most players.**

## Why the Complete Edition is the Ideal Choice

The Complete Edition includes the base game along with all major expansions, DLC packs, and the educational Discovery Tour mode. Here‘s a detailed overview of everything you‘ll get:

### Base Game

- 60+ hour open-world Viking saga
- Massive map covering parts of England, Norway, and Vinland
- Hundreds of activities including raids, battles, mysteries, and more

### Expansions

- **Wrath of the Druids:** Adds Ireland realm to explore and Celtic mythology quests
- **Siege of Paris:** Brings France region and infiltration of Paris stronghold
- **Dawn of Ragnarok:** Play as Odin in dwarven realm of Svartalfheim

### DLC Packs

- **Legend of Beowulf:** Additional beast-slaying quests inspired by epic poem
- **The Crossover Stories:** Unique challenges featuring crossover characters

### Bonus Content

- **Discovery Tour:** Historically educational guided tour mode with quizzes
- **Ultimate Pack:** Exclusive customization items for your character, longship, settlement and more

### Value Analysis

When purchased separately at full price, all of this content would cost over $120 USD. The Complete Edition bundles it all for just $100, **saving you $20 or more**.

Considering the amount of gameplay time added, from **over 150 hours** for full completion, the Complete Edition provides outstanding value.

## Critical Reception & Popularity

Across gaming publications, professional reviews, and fan reception, Valhalla stands out as one of the best Assassin‘s Creed games ever made.

- **Metacritic Score:** 86/100 critics, 8.3/10 users
- **IGN:** "A amazing Viking epic worth embarking on." 9/10 score.
- **GameSpot:** "A breathtaking Viking saga you don‘t want to miss." 8/10

Valhalla set Ubisoft sales records, outperforming other AC titles. It‘s the **2nd best-selling AC game ever**, after AC III.

## Complete Edition Benefits for Each Player Type

### For AC Franchise Fans

The Complete Edition is a must-have for diehard Assassin‘s Creed fans who want the full Valhalla experience. You‘ll get to explore the entire Viking saga across old and new realms.

### For Casual Players

Even if you‘re new to the franchise, the Complete Edition offers the best lasting value. You get the complete adventure upfront rather than having to purchase each expansion separately later.

### For Power Gamers

With over 150 hours of gameplay, the Complete Edition will satisfy players who want to invest serious time exploring and completing all challenges.

### For Collectors

The Ultimate Pack provides exclusive cosmetic items to collectors who want all customization options to personalize their character and longship.

### For History Buffs

The educational Discovery Tour mode brings Valhalla‘s Viking world to life. Perfect for history fans.

No matter your gaming style, the Complete Edition has something for everyone.

## Weighing the Pros and Cons
