Hey friend! Razor has one of the most mysteriously cool backstories in Genshin Impact. Being raised by wolves gives him a totally unique personality compared to the usual anime pretty boys. But who are his biological parents? Let‘s dig into the clues and theories about Razor‘s possible father together!

The Meaning of "Lupical"

As you probably know already, "lupical" is Razor‘s special word for the wolf pack that raised him. He sees them as his true family even more than any human. Makes sense since the wolves are the only parents he remembers!

Razor grew up living, hunting, and bonding with the wolves from infancy. He moves like them, thinks like them, and even barks to communicate! Definitely shows nurture is stronger than nature when it comes to family.

Could Varka Be Razor‘s Real Dad?

Grandmaster Varka is one popular theory for Razor‘s father. Some evidence pointing his way:

• Varka adopted Razor into the Knights after finding him in Wolvendom
• He gave Razor his name and looked after rehabbing him
• Razor sees Varka as the "alpha" of his new human pack

But it‘s far from confirmed. Razor seems too young to literally be Varka‘s son. And you‘d think Varka would have recognized his own kid! Adoption or taking Razor as a ward seems more likely.

The Wolf of the North getting frisky with a human woman may seem crazy…but some players insist it must be true! Reasons Andrius could have spawned our boy Razor:

• As a god, Andrius can probably take human form

Personally though, I‘m skeptical. Razor being Andrius‘ demigod son seems a bit out there!

No Ties to Anyone…Yet

Of course Razor‘s parents could also just be random peasants or adventurers. It would explain why nobody recognizes their child.

But that‘s kinda boring, don‘t you think? It‘s way more exciting to imagine his parents are hidden characters we haven‘t met yet!

However he came to exist, we know Razor was abandoned as a helpless babe in Wolvendom‘s forests. My heart breaks imagining the poor kid crying alone! 😢

• Referring to himself as a "pup" emphasizes he was a baby when adopted by wolves
• He mentions the wolves refuse to tell him about his parents
• You can hear his struggles to understand confusing human ways

Sadly no concrete reveals yet. But it‘s telling that Razor keeps trying to seek out info on his birth parents!

Razor‘s Inner Wolf

Take a close look at Razor‘s animations next time you play him. The way he crouches, runs on all fours, even his sharp-clawed swipes, all mimic wolf behavior.

His fighting style and movements really reflect his wild upbringing. Living as a wolf in his formative years shaped Razor‘s whole identity.

Other "feral child" characters like Tarzan and Mowgli show similar animal-like qualities too. Makes you realize how much nurture shapes people, not just genetics!

Constellations and Lore

Razor‘s constellation names reference wolves, lightning, and wind. Could these tie into his parentage somehow?
