This lines up with what we know about Predator culture. The largest, most skilled hunters are highly respected in their clans. Size and strength correspond with status and rank. So the oldest Predators have a lot of motivation to grow as huge as possible through training, hunting, and likely diet over their long lives.

What about female Predators? According to the novels, female Yautja within their clans grow just as tall and strong as the males. They‘re considered equal hunters and warriors in Predator culture. So while the movies may focus on oversized male Predators, femme Predators can become plenty massive and muscular too! Over 7 feet of female alien hunter? Yes please!
Veteran Tactics vs. Rookie Brute Force
It‘s interesting to compare the veteran Predators like the Jungle and City Hunters to the new breed of super-sized Predators. The OG Predators relied more on stealth, weaponry, and clever tactics to take down prey. While still taller than humans, they weren‘t usually over 7 feet.
The newer beastly Predators clearly rely more on intimidation and being built like trucks! It seems brawn is in, brains are out when it comes to hunting tactics. As a Pred-head, I have to say I prefer the graceful stalk-and-ambush tactics of the veteran Predators compared to just brute forcing everything.
