How to Dominate a Last Man Standing Match in WWE 2K22
Hey there! Terry Williams here, back with another guide to give you the winning edge in WWE 2K22. I know you want to master the high-risk, no-holds-barred Last Man Standing match. Well my friend, you‘ve come to the right place!
As a longtime fan and gamer, I‘ve got tons of experience with these brutal contests. Read on and I‘ll share my top tips to not just survive, but DOMINATE a Last Man Standing war. Let‘s do this!
What Makes This Match So Intense?
For those new to Last Man Standing, here‘s a quick primer. The only way to win this barbaric match is by knockout – completely incapacitating your opponent so they can‘t answer the referee‘s 10 count. That means no pinfalls, submissions, disqualifications or anything else. Just pure, unrestrained CARNAGE until one wrestler can‘t continue.
And with no rules, ANYTHING is legal. Chairs, tables, brass knuckles – you name it! The ring, ramp, crowd – the entire arena is your battlefield. These truly are the most dangerous matches in WWE!
Now let‘s get into the good stuff…
Target Vital Body Parts
A key strategy I use is precisely targeting my opponent‘s most vulnerable body parts. This wears them down faster and keeps them struggling to answer the 10 count.
Go after their legs with knee breakers, leg slams and various leg locks. This limits their mobility so they can‘t evade your attacks or utilize the environment as well.
Punish their core and midsection with body slams, gutbusters, knee lifts and rib breakers. The torso takes a beating during the match, so debilitating it gives you a major advantage.
Viciously attack their head and neck with DDTs, facebreakers, superkicks and neckbreakers. Nothing keeps a foe dazed and disoriented like head and brain trauma.
Unleash Your Signature Arsenal
For maximum devastation, you need to strategically unleash your signature and finishing maneuvers. These high-impact, crowd-pleasing moves inflict tons of damage when timed right.
Use normal moves to build up your signature meters, then unload each character‘s trademark maneuvers. For example, Rock Bottom, People‘s Elbow and Spinebuster for The Rock. Pedigree, Sledgehammer Shot and Spinebuster for Triple H.
Save your finishers for exactly the right moment. When your nemesis is teetering on the edge, nail them with your coup de grâce to decisively shut the door. Sweet Chin Music, Tombstone, RKO – imprint it on their skull!
Turn Their Moves Against Them
Many wrestlers have reversal windows allowing you to counter their grabs and strikes. With good timing, you can turn their own moves back on them!
If The Undertaker goes for a Chokeslam, reverse it into a Chokeslam of your own! When Randy Orton charges up for the RKO, block it and spike him with a devastating reversal.
Not only does this inflict damage, it humiliates and frustrates them psychologically. Some intelligent counters at key moments can shift the entire match in your favor.
Exploit Foreign Objects
As an expert gamer, I love incorporating items into my matches. Anything not nailed down is fair game here!
Always be on the lookout for objects you can use to inflict maximum punishment. Here are some of my favorites:
- Chairs – Steel chairs are the classic wrestling foreign object for a reason – they HURT!
- Tables – Slamming foes through tables keeps them down much longer.
- Ladders – Found under the ring, perfect for high-impact spots.
- Sledgehammers – Made famous by Triple H, pulverize them with this blunt instrument!
- Kendo Sticks – Found in the crowd area, rapid kendo stick strikes stun opponents.
- TV Monitors – When near the stage, TV monitors become electric weapons!
Creative foreign object usage separates the contenders from the pretenders in Last Man Standing. Master this and you‘ll be a true champion.
Take The Fight Everywhere
A great tip I‘ve learned is to fully utilize the entire arena, not just the ring. As a TLC veteran, I love battles that rage all over the place!
- Brawl into the crowd and use barriers, steps and equipment for attacks
- Fight up the ramp and knock them off the stage
- Battle backstage and get inventive with the props
- Scale the top rope or Cell and execute diving moves
- TraverseArenaSets like Elimination Chamber for unique spots
The more you creatively use the environment, the more options you have to demolish them.
Customize Your WWE Superstar
Here are a few of my favorite customizations to dominate Last Man Standing warfare:
- FightingStyle – Make them a Brawler or Powerhouse for maximum striking damage
- Abilities – Equip Resiliency, Combo Breaker and other toughness boosts
- Moveset – Select lots of strong strikes, grapples and dirty moves
- Attributes – Boost strength, durability, stamina, and resilience
With the right build, you‘ll have a Last Man Standing machine ready for destruction!
