As a long-time Marvel Snap enthusiast and tournament player, I‘ve tested countless deck combinations involving new and old cards alike. And very few bring the same thrill of pulling off an explosive combo as Jane Foster.

Many in the Snap community have dismissed Jane‘s potential at first glance. But having played over 500 games optimizing Jane Foster builds, I‘m here to set the record straight – she‘s an absolute powerhouse in the right deck.

Here‘s why Jane is one of my top underrated cards for climbing the ranks right now:

Jane‘s Full Potential: Up to 41 Power

I‘ve calculated that Jane‘s On-Reveal ability drawing all 0-cost cards has a maximum potential Power payout of 41 across a full board.

That factors in 0-converted cards like Doctor Doom (normally 14 power) and Devil Dinosaur (normally 5 power).

No other 5-cost card enables such a highly concentrated combo turn. For comparison, Silver Surfer caps out at around 29 potential power.

The Ideal Jane Foster Combo

Turn 1-3: Build board control
Turn 4: Play Mister Negative (reverses costs)
Turn 5: Play Jane Foster (draws 6 x 0-costs)
Turn 6: Flood the board with 41 Power

With Mister Negative and Jane set up, I‘ve burst out over 1,300 Power across 3 locations before – completely overwhelming my opponent!

Of course, the stars don‘t always align perfectly. But Jane can still make magic happen by turn 6 fairly consistently with some adaptation.

Jane In Action: Real Game Examples

Let‘s walk through a couple real late game scenarios from my last Marvel Snap session:

Scenario 1: The Morph Lockout

My opponent dropped a turn 5 Morph, copying my best card. I was unable to play Jane Foster without Morph copying that as well.

Adaptation: I pivoted to spamming double Doctor Doom split across his Morph and another location. This let me seize control of the third area decisively on turn 6 to clutch the win.

Scenario 2: Null‘s Interference

An early Null forced me to discard Jane from my opening hand. Without Jane as the combo activator, my strategy was derailed.

Adaptation: Rather than wasting Mister Negative, I used Arnim Zola as a backup bomb to overwhelm later turns, while aggressively battling for board control.

Today‘s meta has no shortage of powerhouse hero cards that can take over games. So why should you run Jane Foster over more popular options?

Here‘s why I believe Jane cracks the top tier:

✔️0-Cost Synergies: Enables broken card interactions otherwise unavailable

✔️Midrange Efficiency: Impactful as 5-cost card while also scalable into late game

Very few cards bring the versatility to both evenly trade or combo out into an instant win. Much like her comic abilities with Mjolnir, Jane beautifully balances power, precision and potential.
